Vegas Baby!

Chad and I went to Vegas this weekend with the Cochran's. We had such a blast! It was one of the best road trips ever. I don't think I have laughed that hard in a long time. The best part was when we got lost and Chad stopped to ask for directions at Check City. Heather and Phil, you guys rock! We love you!

Birthday Bash

As I get older, I will have to say that birthdays aren't as much fun as they used to be. But this year Chad and the girls worked really hard to make sure I had a good day. First, they sang a birthday song to me (you will have to pause my music to hear the video). It is so cute! Next, they gave me 32 balloons with messages inside. It was "32 reasons why we love you". One of Hope's reasons was "because you like my red hair." One of Hallee's reasons was "because you are a good runner." It was so thoughtful of Chad to involve the girls so much. Thanks guys! I love you!

Tracy Aviary

Amanda and Paislee invited us and Landon and Austin to go with them to Tracy Aviary last week. The girls had a great time looking at all the birds (as long as they didn't get too close to Hallee). Hope's favorites were the peacocks, which she named all Azul. Hallee's favorite thing was the potato bug she found (that was until she accidently stepped on it).

Fun in Scipio

We have had lots of fun in Scipio this summer. The girls love to play at Gram's. They especially love the sand pile. Some of the highlights this summer were the Scipio Rodeo and Paul and April's wedding. Aunt Jeanne was here for about a week, too. It was so much fun to hang out with her, Aunt Mary, and the girls. Hallee stayed with Aunt Jeanne a couple of nights. Jeanne taught the little girls some yoga moves and went on lots of walks with them. Hallee wore her dress-up clothes to Paul and April's reception. Wow! What a princess!

24th of July

The 24th of July was a very fun and busy day. It started with the Deseret News 10K at 5:30am. If you know me, I was more worried about getting to the race on time than I was about running in it! After the race, we watched the parade. It had been a long time since we watched the parade live (like since 1996) so that was really fun. We spent the rest of the day at Cherry Hill cooling off. It was a great time!
