Easter

Easter was so much fun this year. I was glad I got to see the girls open their baskets and hunt for eggs. I was worried I would have the baby and miss it! They were so cute looking for their baskets. Hallee found Hope's basket behind the couch and Hope found Hallee's basket in the pantry. We had gone to the mall a couple of days before to see the Easter bunny. They were so cute! Sunday after church, we went to Chad's Mom and Dad's for dinner and an egg hunt. The girls got lots of fun treats at grandma's.

Fun in Scipio

A few weeks ago, Chad's grandpa Marv passed away. We will miss him so much especially at Sunday dinner. He was a great man. My dad and sister came up and got the girls for us so we could go to the funeral and everything. The girls got to stay in Scipio for a few days with Grandma and Grandpa Scipio and Aunt Katie. They always have so much fun there. It's apparently a whole lot more fun to them than the city!

Dancing Girlies

A couple of weeks ago (yes I know I am a slacker about blogging) the girls danced at the Hunter High drill team review. They learned the dance earlier in the week and then performed it on that Friday. They did such a good job. I was so proud of them! I think they were more worried about having make-up on and glitter in their hair than they were about dancing. So cute!!

Red Rocks

A few weeks back Katie, Jake, Madison and Maya came up and stayed with us for a couple of days. We all went to see the Red Rocks at the U. It was fun for the girls to be together. They miss their cousin, Maddie!

Christmas 2008

We really had such a wonderful Christmas this year. I think it is a time to count your blessings. Chad and I feel so blessed to come from such great families who love and care for us under the best and worst circumstances. We are so lucky to have two sweet, healthy girls and a baby on the way. This Christmas, we were able to spend a lot a time with our families and each other. Chad had more time off this year than he has for a while. We were able to spend several days after Christmas in Scipio and Chad even did a little hunting (surprise, surprise). The girls had so much fun seeing Santa at their schools and of course opening the gifts he left on Christmas morning. All I can say is Christmas is so much more fun with kids. They are so full of curiosity and wonderment. This year Santa brought them bikes and a kitchen. They were so cute on Christmas morning, riding their bikes around our living room.

The Polar Express

Okay, so I know it was a while back, but I wanted to blog all about it. Grandpa and Grandma Scipio took the grandkids on a fun adventure to the North Pole via the Polar Express. I went with them to help out a little. It was actually a lot of fun. Not quite as wild of a ride as the movie portrays, but a good speed for us. Hallee, Hope, and Madison were all quite mesmerized by the whole thing. While the boys were changing seats and having lots of fun with each other. It was a lot of fun for the grandkids to be together. Thanks Gram and Papa!

Oh My Blogging Break!

Okay, I really have no excuse for it. But here it is February 2nd, and I am just updating my blog from 2 months ago. To be honest, I just haven't been in the blogging mood lately. Then, I think I got so far behind with Christmas and all, I just didn't want to do it. So, here goes an attempt to get caught up on all my blogging. Stay tuned...

Hope's 4th Birthday!

Oh my! I can't believe my baby is four. Where does the time go? She is growing up way too fast. She had such a fun birthday last Tuesday. She had school that day so she took Krispy Kreme doughnuts to share with her class. That evening she wanted to go to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. (What is it with my kids and Texas Roadhouse?) Grandma and Grandpa Huntsman came, as well as the Bawdens and the Stonebrakers. After, we went back to our house for cake and ice cream and games. She had an Ariel cake since that is her favorite princess. The kids played "Don't eat Santa" and "Pin the present on Santa". (Thanks, Sis!) I hope it was a good day for her. We love you Hope!

Aime Christmas Party

The Saturday after Thanksgiving we had the annual Aime Christmas party. It is when Mary's side of the family (Chad's Mom) gets together. This year we had such a great time. I have to give a shout out to Aunt Kelly because she worked so hard to make it fun for everyone. We had lots of games, a pinata, and a nativity with all the little ones. Hallee was the narrator and sang a solo of a Christmas song. Hope was Mary and she looked so cute! She was all business, though. And, did I mention Santa showed up?

Thanksgiving

This year we spent Thanksgiving with the Huntsmans. We had such a good day. We ate way too much yummy food (of course). I think we all put on the "Thanksgiving 5". But we need our energy to shop the next day, right? The kids played pin the hat on the turkey and Thanksgiving bingo. At the end of the night we put together a gingerbread house. It was probably more mess than it was worth but I think the kids had fun.

Thanksgiving at School

The girlies both had a great time at their "Thanksgiving feasts" at school. Hallee painted her vest and Hope made a teepee out of an ice cream cone. Their schools do such cute things with them.

Disney on Ice

Last weekend, Grandma and Grandpa Huntsman took the family to Disney on Ice. The girls always love going to this (and so do I). Hope's favorite part was seeing Ariel. Hallee said her favorite part was Small World. We had such a fun time together.
